Whatever our destination on any trip, routine or eventful, our consciousness determines how we get to it and what we gain by reaching it. Realizing our true unity with divine Mind and desiring to be obedient to God's will, we shall be joyous and poised. But governed by mortal mind, or willpower, we may feel hurried, anxious, and even unhappy.
In the Gospel of John we read how Christ Jesus with his disciples once reached Capernaum. After he had entered the ship in which the disciples were traveling, "immediately the ship was at the land whither they went."John 6:21;
The weary office worker trudging to his place of business may well wonder how Jesus was able to accomplish his journey so quickly and easily. Christian Science teaches that what we experience is the direct result of our thought. Jesus certainly was always conscious of his real identity, the timeless, limitless Christ. The real, spiritual man, obediently reflecting God's omnipresence, meets no obstacles. Jesus proved the joyous freedom of man in God's image and likeness.
