A university professor once protested to me against the Christian Science teaching that there is one Mind. It did not seem wise to attempt to convince him of that fact. Instead I did my best to allow divine wisdom to govern my own thinking.
Shortly after, he read a report of two men who had discovered an identical method of improving a manufacturing process. Neither had ever seen or heard of the other. Moreover, both had come upon this new method at approximately the same time. Naturally, I was pleased when he wrote me, "I see and admit that there is one Mind." The discovery by these men surely hinted the oneness of Mind.
How important to our progress is the recognition and admission that there is but one infinite Mind! If the one divine Mind governed in human affairs, there could be no interrupted harmony, no conflicting opinions, in fact, no mortal opinions—only perfect judgment expressed by each individual. There would not be a single person at odds with another. That would be a real taste of heaven right here!
