I had been in poor health for a long time, and doctors seemed to be unable to help me. I had heard that there was Christian healing, and I was praying that I might find it, but at that time I did not even know the name Christian Science.
My husband took me to a warmer climate, thinking the change might benefit my health. God had answered my prayer, for our landlady was a Christian Scientist. She soon saw that I was having physical trouble, and asked me if I would care to read her books, including Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy and the Christian Science periodicals. I answered that I would read anything that would do me good. This acceptance of the truth started me on the road to health and a much happier life.
