Annual Meeting of The Mother Church

From all sections of the United States and from distant parts of the globe Christian Scientists gathered for the Annual Meeting of The Mother Church, which convened in Boston on June 2. Reports of progress were read by officers of The Mother Church, by department heads, and by representatives from the Field. A message from The Christian Science Board of Directors and selected accounts of recent notable healings effected through Christian Science were also heard. The theme of the Annual Meeting and of the subsidiary meetings held on June 3 and 4 was, "What Can We Do for Our World?" After the meetings those present departed for home more resolved than ever to follow Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, in her deep practical concern for all humanity.

A detailed account of the reports follows.

The meeting opened with the singing of the hymn "Love" (Christian Science Hymnal, No. 30), the words of which are by our Leader, Mrs. Eddy. The outgoing President, Gordon V. Comer, of Denver, Colorado, then read passages from the Bible and Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mrs. Eddy:
