I wish to express my deep gratitude for Christian Science. I have depended on it entirely for over forty years. It has met my every need. I have proved that "every trial of our faith in God makes us stronger" (Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, p. 410).
In June, 1962, I thought that the lenses of my glasses needed changing, and because it was not convenient for me to go to the optometrist who had prescribed glasses for my husband and me for several years, I went to another one. He informed me that only one lens needed to be changed. However, at the same time he told me that a certain condition of dimming of my sight should be corrected. I did not concern myself too much with the matter, for I did not at the time understand just what he meant.
Sometime later, about August, I stopped at his office to have the frame of my glasses tightened, at which time he made another examination and stated that there was no improvement. He said that I should see him in about four months and that if there was no change at that time, he would send me to an eye surgeon, who would remove the cataract.
