Healing—Our Greatest Need

Healing is not merely something incidental to the doctrine of Christian Science; it is its quintessence.

Mrs. Eddy writes: "Less teaching and good healing is to-day the acme of 'well done;' a healing that is not guesswork,— chronic recovery ebbing and flowing,—but instantaneous cure. This absolute demonstration of Science must be revived." Miscellaneous Writings, p. 355;

When John the Baptist sent two of his disciples to Christ Jesus, they asked, "Art thou he that should come? or look we for another?" Luke 7:19; Jesus did not reply with a long discourse on his identity but proceeded to demonstrate before their very eyes his marvelous healing ability. He sent them on their way with this reply: "Tell John what things ye have seen and heard; how that the blind see, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, to the poor the gospel is preached." v. 22;
