CAROL FOR CHRISTMAS

"For unto us a child Is born" (Isa. 9:6)

From the December 1972 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Wreathe my house with mistletoe;
warm my heart with strength to go

to my neighbor in his need
bringing the Christ, Truth, to feed

his spiritual hunger, heal
whatever hurt may be revealed.

Deck the halls and light the lamps
of perfect understanding. Stamp

Love's image upon every word
conceived, spoken, sung, or heard

anywhere around the earth
to celebrate the Saviour's birth.

Dissolve self-will and fear and wild
hate. Make me a little child.
