Countering the Crush of Causes

Many people are devoted to good human causes. But how many are devoted to the cause that underlies them all—the cause of achieving "the glorious liberty of the children of God"?Rom. 8:21;

Today's society is organized to the nth degree. Tired husbands, harried housewives, and nervous children all bear witness to today's pressures to join, be involved, be relevant.

Christ Jesus expressed God's loving compassion awaiting those who turn to Him for a more uncomplicated, serene, and satisfying life. "Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest."Matt. 11:28; All the Master's words and actions stemmed from devotion to the one and only cause he accepted—the cause of bearing witness to God, good.
