About nine years ago I began to have great discomfort internally. I kept very close to my study of Christian Science, and the peace, comfort, and strength of the Christ were ever with me. Gratitude for Christian Science was a constant companion, even when the difficulty seemed severe.
My husband and I had plans to build a new home, and as the property had been purchased and preliminary planning done, we felt it was right to go ahead with the project. The numerous shopping trips that must be made in preparing for a new home at first overwhelmed me, but by learning to put everything into God's hands and letting Him take care of the home, I could always accomplish whatever was necessary. I never left my car or a chair without realizing the ever-presence of God, and never sat down without saying, "Thank You, Father."
There came a time when the physical condition was such that I thought it wise and necessary to curtail as many activities as possible. With few exceptions the only trips I made out of the house were for church attendance and church committee work.
