Healing the "Incurable"

From the July 1972 issue of The Christian Science Journal

In these times, the forces of publicity about certain diseases have been intensified through radio and television, as well as the press. Some of them have the label "incurable," and this label is sometimes in the forefront of the unwittingly injurious publicity.

But by the power of God, Truth, as understood in Christian Science, the label of incurability has been stripped off diseases previously typed as unhealable. Everyone can scientifically utilize that power now to overcome persistent illness. Christian Science has brought new insights into the nature of disease, and these are accompanied by explanations of the spiritual means of healing it.

Christian Science denominates disease as a claim, the claim that there is something opposed to the harmony and painlessness that characterize Soul, God, and that belong unendingly to Soul's reflection, man. In this sense, disease is not an actual physical condition that is either curable or incurable. In scientifically absolute terms, disease is a "curse causeless"Prov. 26:2; and is without evidence, without history, without future.
