Provision for Progress

From the September 1972 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Class instruction is one of the most important steps a student of Christian Science can take to promote his spiritual growth. Because it impels progress, one must be alert not to be caught in the snare that error would lay to impede this advancement. We are told in the Bible, "A wise man will hear, and will increase learning; and a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels."Prov. 1:5;

It is resistance to spiritual good that would keep one from having class instruction. Yes, it is animal magnetism or the anti-Christ at work. How could anyone turn away from this wonderful gift or provision given us of God?

Christian Science is the Comforter; it has come to this age through Mrs. Eddy. One of the divinely inspired, God-directed facets for spreading the Christ, Truth, is class instruction. It is provided for us through the Manual of The Mother Church by Mrs. Eddy, and it is a part of the whole of Christian Science. It is a God-given provision for spiritual learning.
