To Be a Christian Science Practitioner

From the September 1972 issue of The Christian Science Journal

What does it mean to be a Christian Science practitioner? It means that one is ready to stand before the world and declare that all things are possible with God, to be convinced that Christian Science heals, and know that God does the work.

One does not have to rent a beautiful office in order to practice this Science, or to heal. Every student can practice what he knows right where he is, in his home, his office, church, or classroom, or on a busy road. It is how he practices what he knows of God and man that makes him a practitioner.

There may be many workers, not listed in public practice, who are quietly doing much to heal today's world. If one's contribution seems to be less dramatic or recognizable than that of others, God knows what each has to give. The student's victories and progress come when he is alone with God—when no one else has any knowledge of what he is thinking or doing.
