Now

From the September 1972 issue of The Christian Science Journal

This instant is new in creation. This now of eternity is unique and complete. Now is the newness of all things—divine Life springing into expression, fresh and irrepressible.

Revelation presents this refreshing viewpoint: "He that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new."Rev. 21:5; Indeed, infinity has no need of repeating itself. Mrs. Eddy writes in Science and Health, "Creation is ever appearing, and must ever continue to appear from the nature of its inexhaustible source."Science and Health, p. 507; Creation is appearing now from the inexhaustible, infinite divine Principle of being.

We can see now as springing from this infinite and continuing source, Spirit, rather than from the material limitations of time or mortal experience. Then we see that the completeness of this moment in absolute Truth—that is, the nowness of unchanging good—is to be trusted implicitly. We see that the genuine, eternal now is all we have or need. We have always had it; we will always have it—new, brilliant, complete.
