How grateful I am for God's great love, and for Christian Science, which is revealing this love to me and showing me its practical application in human living!
Some years ago, when my husband and I were living in a Far Eastern country, I became very ill and lost not only the ability to walk but also the use of my hands to feed myself properly. My hair came out until the scalp was almost bare. I was having prayerful treatment by a Christian Science practitioner, and was using all the truths I knew to help myself. At one time I lay unconscious for two days. My husband faithfully read the Lesson-Sermon in the Christian Science Quarterly to me each day, as well as other Science literature, even when I wasn't fully conscious; and he consistently encouraged and helped me to hold on to my faith in and understanding of God's allness.
The fact of God's allness precludes any untoward or unnatural condition. There can be no deterioration in Mind or Mind's ideas, and there is no ignorant, malicious, fearful, climatic, or baneful belief to interfere with or reverse God's plan of perfection and harmony. We held steadfastly to the fact of perfect God and of perfect man in His likeness.
