The Divine Influence

Forever flowing freely to man from his divine source is the infinite good of Truth, Life, and Love. The influence of divinity is invariably, unquestionably beneficial, purposeful, and enlightening. It reaches humanity through the Christ, Truth, flowing effortlessly into being—guiding, governing, satisfying, and empowering us to do good.

We can recognize divine influence as a living, palpitating presence, as a confident awareness of God and His goodness, or as an arousing flash of understanding, dispelling darkness in a moment, enfolding us with the assurance of harmony, freedom, and loveliness.

In Science and Health Mrs. Eddy writes: "The physical healing of Christian Science results now, as in Jesus' time, from the operation of divine Principle, before which sin and disease lose their reality in human consciousness and disappear as naturally and as necessarily as darkness gives place to light and sin to reformation. Now, as then, these mighty works are not supernatural, but supremely natural. They are the sign of Immanuel, or 'God with us,'—a divine influence ever present in human consciousness and repeating itself, coming now as was promised aforetime,
