With deep gratitude to God and for Christian healing I give this testimony. In 1926, I visited a Christian Science testimony meeting in a branch church for the first time and immediately experienced a healing. I said to myself, "If what these Christian Scientists are saying is true, not only can these people understand it, but I myself must be able to perceive it too."
The testifiers spoke of perception and understanding of God and His spiritual law, neither of which I felt I possessed, but I had to admit that I was healed of rheumatism. Now I wanted to search for what it was that had healed me there, and my first conclusion was that in Christian Science God speaks to man and this truth heals the one seeking help.
