It is with great joy that I wish to testify to the blessings that my family and I have received through the teachings of Christian Science.
We were living in a small city in the interior where work was scarce and life was very difficult. We decided to try living in a larger city. My sister and I came first to find work and to arrange for the other members of the family to come. We went to live with an aunt who is a Christian Scientist, and in this way we began to attend a branch Church of Christ, Scientist. Right away I knew this was exactly what I was looking for. I began to study the Lesson-Sermons in the Christian Science Quarterly, and to attend the meetings of a group of Christian Scientists at a university.
With the help of this teaching, my sister and I soon found jobs and schooling, which was difficult to do at that time of the year. Months later my father also came. Due to his advanced age, it was difficult for him to find work, and he became discouraged. At first he thought we would return to the interior. I became desperate and asked for help from a Christian Science practitioner. Our prayers were answered by my father's finding employment. We were able to find a house for the family. With strong confidence in divine supply, we found a guarantor and the money for our move.
