My first testimony appeared in the Christian Science Sentinel in 1967. Since then I have had many additional proofs that Christian Science heals, and treasured opportunities to serve in modest ways this wonderful Science. At this time I wish to share an awe-inspiring healing I had two years ago. I became ill with severe pain all through the lower portion of the body. Soon I was unable to stand erect or to walk alone.
I called a Christian Science practitioner for treatment. As there were no rooms available at the time in the sanatorium for Christian Scientists in the area, the care committee of my branch church arranged a schedule with four dear friends to come to my home and give me day and night care. The deep love, compassion, and care shown me by these friends aided in the healing, I am sure.
I was in frequent touch with the practitioner, who gently but firmly lifted my thought away from the body to the contemplation of God's power, His love and perfection, His allness, and my present spiritual perfection as His idea.
