Christian Science has brought healing to our family for nearly half a century. My mother was healed instantaneously of two severe difficulties when she visited a practitioner.
My husband was unable to move himself for several days. He was freed from this illness after it was brought out that his view of himself as a strong, husky young man (who couldn't understand why he should have such a problem) had to be changed to realize he was not a mortal at all, strong or weak. He was God's spiritual idea. He accepted this and was able to turn himself over and go to sleep. Next day we left on an automobile trip of several thousand miles. He was able to do the driving, and with no ill effects.
At another time, during his military service, he was told he had a heart condition that would necessitate his resignation. He was sent to a hospital for further testing. His whole desire was for Christian Science treatment, which was requested and given, since the examination was against his wishes. The result was that after several hours of physical examination and testing, he was told he had no heart trouble. He continued in the Air Force for many years, retiring at the time of his choice.
