We are not earthbound

From the May 1979 issue of The Christian Science Journal

For many, day-to-day living constitutes a problem: the orbit of their activities seems hopelessly fixed and endlessly dull.

Christian Science, however, challenges this depressing view of existence with the liberating understanding that the man God made—the spiritual identity of each one of us—reflects God and consequently expresses Him. This understanding begins to open up overflowing joy, rousing activity, unrestricted usefulness, limitless ingenuity.

Man is not a mortal—earthbound— but an immortal, traveling in ever-wider, friction-free orbits of spiritual discovery and demonstration.
