At one time I became discouraged and worried, full of self-condemnation for what I saw as my inability to attain complete healings. The discomfort of several physical problems had disappeared, but the visible evidence remained.
Late one evening an enlarged vein appeared on my body. The pain was so intense that I was unable to sit, lie down, or move about in comfort, and I could not think clearly, study, or sleep. The next morning I called a Christian Science practitioner for help. I slept a short time and awakened feeling some relief. I was then able to study the Bible Lesson in the Christian Science Quarterly.
As my study progressed, I could see that the physical enlargement represented no more than an accumulation of anxiety and worry over incompleted healings. This erroneous thinking had been objectified in a bodily condition.
