A Sunday School superintendent's prayer

From the December 1982 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Thank you, Father-Mother, for the one who whistles during the silent prayer,
for the one whose dad left home last week,
for the one who came after the all-night party.

Soul, You unveil them.
Love, You comfort them.
Spirit, You refresh them.

Thank you, Father-Mother, for the ones who didn't want to come and for the ones who did.

Principle, You hold them.
Life, You direct them.
Truth, You teach them.

Thank you, Father-Mother, that no matter what our view of ourselves and others,
Mind encompasses all of us
this morning.
