Jesus said, "I and my Father are one."John 10:30.
What was he really saying? Mrs. Eddy offers this explanation: ". . . not that the corporeal Jesus was one with the Father, but that the spiritual idea, Christ, dwells forever in the bosom of the Father, God, from which it illumines heaven and earth . . . ."Science and Health, p. 334. Throughout his ministry the Master utilized the power of divine Principle, which is changeless, ever present, impartial. He proved the I, or Ego —God, good—to be the only power, the only healer there is.
Moses discovered the one Ego when, in the vastness and lonely reaches of Sinai, he heard God saying, "I AM."Ex. 3:14. This perception of true being strengthened Moses for his great work, continuously informing and leading him. He learned not to pick up the burden of belief in a personal self with its shortcomings and selfish responsibilities. He learned that the I am governed, every step of the way. He learned to yield to the never-failing operation of the law of Love, which leads, solves, adjusts, and heals.
