No separation

From the June 1983 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Man individually and collectively exists in divine Principle, God. He has his being there, for man is God's spiritual idea. Since this Principle of ours is everywhere, there really is no other place to exist, and we cannot get out of infinity.

In one of her books, under the heading "Bible Lessons," Mrs. Eddy declares: "'As many as received him;' that is, as many as perceive man's actual existence in and of his divine Principle, receive the Truth of existence; and these have no other God, no other Mind, no other origin; therefore, in time they lose their false sense of existence, and find their adoption with the Father; to wit, the redemption of the body."Miscellaneous Writings, p. 182.

Man's actual existence right here and right now is in Principle, God. This Principle sustains and governs man, its spiritual creation—and that means all of us— in a state of perfection and goodness. And man can have only this true sense of existence, or consciousness, without the dream shadows of mistakes, of sin, sickness, and death. The Psalmist sang, "Lord, thou hast been our dwelling place in all generations."Ps. 90:1.
