During the years that our two children were growing up, many physical healings took place that were milestones along the path of our spiritual progress. When our daughter appeared to break her wrist, she missed only a day or so of school. The wrist was quickly mended through prayer alone, with the help of a Christian Science practitioner. At another time, our son had an overnight healing of an infected condition in one foot. Later on, this same son was faced with a frightening attack of extreme pain. It was quickly healed with the prayer of a practitioner, who assured me that divine Love envelops all. The pain never returned.
Ivy poisoning, insect stings, fever, and recurrent nightmares were also decisively healed for the children through spiritually scientific prayer.
During their college years, these children each experienced lovely physical healings. Our son was healed of a broken wrist (X-rayed and diagnosed by a physician), after he had spent most of the day in a Christian Science Reading Room studying and praying. Within a couple of days he was using the arm freely, even moving furniture. And he was, at the same time, healed of a desire to gamble.
