Reaping the fruits of true progress

From the June 1984 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Have you ever felt overwhelmed by human circumstances? Each one of us can progress in the application of Christian Science to the point where he realizes that a threatening physical disorder, a disturbing human relationship, or a stressful situation does not separate him from dominion and well-being.

True progress is achieved by utilizing the truth of being, as explained in Christian Science, which awakens us out of false, material sense and its world of imagination into spiritual reality, God's creation.

Without spiritual vision our daily life appears to be dominated entirely by human circumstances. When our sense of existence is determined by the material senses, health and happiness appear to be at the mercy of negative, mortal mind and matter. And so often conflict, injustice, and frustration appear to crush out fulfillment and well-being.
