Christ Jesus had just entered a village when he met ten lepers who asked to be healed. He didn't turn their attention to their bodies or to their suffering. Nor did he get into a discussion about how long they had been sick. He merely said to them, "Go shew yourselves unto the priests." And the Bible states that "as they went, they were cleansed." Luke 17:14.
The story is rich with elements of spiritual growth such as obedience, gratitude, and faithful expectancy of good. To explore all the elements in the story would take many articles. But we can look at one part to see how it relates to healing.
Where did Jesus send them? To the priests, to have their healing acknowledged, and to make their offerings of purification in the temple.
