Following are excerpts from a few of the hundreds of letters sent to The Mother Church in response to the December 8, 1984, videoconference, "To live for all mankind." (See last month's Journal for the text of the meeting.) Letters are continuing to come in daily. Many writers explain that they have waited to write until they were sure they were actually putting into practice what was gained. Others talk of specific healings, changes of attitude, and new steps being taken "to live for all mankind. "
"I, for one, recognized that I am of value to my Church and my Church sought me out, gathered me and fed me, and I went away rejoicing.
