Are we doers of God's Word?

What makes a good tennis player? What makes a good pianist or a good orator? Among other things, practice. And what makes a good Christian Scientist? Certainly, practice is essential here too.

The conscientious Christian Scientist prays. He strives to grow in grace and follow the way of Christ Jesus. He studies and ponders the Bible and the writings of Mrs. Eddy in order to learn the fundamental rules of the Science of being. And he practices the truths he learns from these books by applying them to human problems. The more he practices the basic rules with precision and consistency, the more he is assured of success in healing.

The editor of The Evening Press in Grand Rapids, Michigan, once asked Mrs. Eddy, "What is nearest and dearest to your heart to-day?"
