Man, being God's spiritual offspring, lives in eternity. He doesn't come to earth for a span and then return to God, immortal Mind; he remains forever at one with Him.
The opening chapters of Genesis provide two accounts of creation. The first is the true, spiritual record. The second presents an allegory, which shows a false, material concept of creation.
In chapter 1 the spiritual record of creation reveals what is true of God, man, and the universe. It starts, "In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth." Mrs. Eddy explains this statement in the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health: "The infinite has no beginning. This word beginning is employed to signify the only,—that is, the eternal verity and unity of God and man, including the universe." Science and Health, p. 502. Eternity characterizes the infinite One, who has no beginning and therefore no ending.
