Of note This Month

From the April 1988 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Once you've been healed in Christian Science, it's natural to want to share what you've discovered with others. Isn't this motivation one of the principal reasons why church members sponsor Christian Science lectures in their communities?

A branch church in the middle western part of the United States decided to reconsider carefully how they wanted to present lectures in their town of about fifty thousand people. They realized there was much more to look forward to than simply preparing in the same ways that they had previously. And their prayers opened up a whole new range of ideas, cooperation, and ways of gauging success.

Even several months prior to the Global Lecture Preparatory Meeting, the lecture committee of our branch church decided that a radical change of thought was needed in order to reach more of the community with the Christian Science lectures we sponsored.
