Testimonies of Healing

From the April 1989 issue of The Christian Science Journal

In thinking of the numerous ways in which God has become nearer and dearer to me, I am filled with gratitude. There have been many physical healings, as well as experiences of protection and the resolution of discordant situations.

There has also been a gradual development of what I've come to understand are God-derived skills as a composer/performer. This is something I have been praying about for a number of years, and the result has been greater freedom from anxiety and tension in performing. A clearer perception of my motive, a greater love for my audience, and a desire to forget mortal self and let my spiritual individuality shine have helped open the way for an innate spontaneity and originality to be expressed. The freedom I feel is wonderful.

Two physical healings that occurred during the past several years stand out to me. Both required considerable prayer and persistence, and both resulted in spiritual growth.
