I am very grateful to be learning more about God and man's relationship to Him through the study and demonstration of Christian Science. Two years ago I had the opportunity to recognize and demonstrate more fully the healing power of this Science.
My husband and I had desired to buy a house for over two years, yet each attempt we'd made had brought us to a dead end. In fact, two contracts to buy homes fell through during this period. Both times we faced disappointment, discouragement, and, on the second contract, financial loss.
I knew the value of persistent prayer, and I prayed—often with tear-filled eyes—for more willingness to yield to God's plan. During this time I studied the Bible and the writings of Mrs. Eddy in order to expand my concept of home. I came to realize that in my true selfhood as a spiritual idea of the one infinite Mind, God, I reflect all the spiritual qualities that are included in a complete sense of home. As I discerned the ever-presence of love, joy, comfort, and security—qualities of God and specific attributes of a happy home—I was able to claim my right to see nothing less than the full manifestation of home in my experience.
