Of Note This Month

From the April 1990 issue of The Christian Science Journal

In an effort to encourage greater study and appreciation of Mrs. Eddy's writings included in Prose Works, all thirteen are being redesigned with beautiful new covers and more legible text pages. The intent of these physical changes is to emphasize that each of these writings was separate and was written for a distinct purpose.

While the complete volume of Prose Works (which includes all thirteen shorter writings in one volume) makes research easier, the individual books highlight the importance of each message, which addresses a specific need.

For instance, Christian Science versus Pantheism, Mrs. Eddy's 1898 message to The Mother Church, brings out the clear distinction between pure, monotheistic Christianity and the pantheistic concept that mind is in matter or in forces of nature.
