I escaped from the genocide that took place in my country in 1972 .... I am a refugee in Rwanda and work there as a schoolteacher. It was about three months ago that I received Science and Health by Mary Baker Eddy. I had the pleasure of reading and studying it along with the Bible with the help of the Christian Science Quarterly. I am now not only undertaking a deeper study but I am also striving to demonstrate what I am studying.
Before I got acquainted with Christian Science I thought that a powerful evil force was at work in this universe. Now thanks to Science I understand its unreality, therefore its nothingness. I understand how divine Science helps us to abandon the false testimony of the material senses. I am not only interested in your book but it is for me a friend, a guide, a comforter. Through it my heart is freed. I no longer feel that I am a refugee from yesterday, destined to failure and despair, but a refugee freed by the Christ.
