Dear Friend:
We arrived in Romania more than a week ago, but this is the first moment we've found the time to let you know the things which have happened in our hearts.
We are very grateful to you for having helped us to discover the presence of God in us; in us and all about us. The meeting in Hamburg was the best occasion to come to know . . . the countries other than our own, the people who appeared to be all the people of the world, the ideas and the languages so different. It was also the best occasion to know ourselves. Now we are completely different. We have returned to our home, but we are no longer the same. Hope has reappeared in the spirits from which it had long ago departed. And I think that this is the most important realization that one could hope for.
