« La vraie liberté »

From the February 1991 issue of The Christian Science Journal

to true freedom

"People looking for freedom in immorality, alcohol, drugs, crime . . . are like a bird in a cage. The cage has high walls made of wire, but the roof has been removed. The bird, not knowing the cage has no roof, makes desperate attempts to escape and be free. He jumps around in every direction, continually bumping his head on the wire. And finally falls exhausted.

"Now, he has only to look up to discover that the path to freedom is open, accessible and close at hand! ... No matter what the circumstances, there is always a way out that God's love holds open, leading to the path of deliverance—to true freedom."
