My heart is full of gratitude for all the good that Christian Science has brought into my life during more than forty years. I have been healed of facial paralysis and of growths that were on my neck. We have had healings in our home of fevers, flu, coughs, warts, ringworm, and more.
Some years ago one of our sons attended a Boy Scout jamboree in another state. When the jamboree was over, our son's troop stayed to do some sightseeing. I received a telephone call from our son's scoutmaster and a physician. They said our son had burned his eye and had been taken to a nearby hospital. They both told me: "Your son is in no pain; he has had no pain at all." The physician explained that he didn't know if he had been able to get all of the cinders and ashes out of the eye and that it would probably become infected. He said it was doubtful that our son would be allowed to make the trip home with his group the next day.
As I began to pray for our son, a sentence from the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, came to mind. It states, "A spiritual idea has not a single element of error, and this truth removes properly whatever is offensive." I also prayed to know that God, Spirit, fills all space and is the only power.
