A young couple entered an African estate agency "We want to rent a house," the young woman said.
"We have plenty to let on the plateau," the estate agent told her.
The couple looked at each other and then shook their heads. "We would prefer to be on the higher land," the husband said. They knew only too well that after heavy rain the plateau became waterlogged, swarming with buzzing mosquitoes and croaking frogs.
