Where does one begin to...

From the March 1992 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Where does one begin to give gratitude for six generations of Christian Science healings? Needless to say, there are too many to be enumerated here, but there are some that stand out as waymarks.

As a child I was healed of so-called childhood diseases quickly and without complications. Then, when I was in high school, I contracted smallpox, which was reported to health officials in accordance with the law. The doctor who came predicted I would be scarred for life and said we would be quarantined for six weeks. However, within two and a half weeks, with the prayerful help of a Christian Science practitioner, I was completely healed, without a scar. The physician lifted the quarantine and acknowledged that Christian Science treatment had healed the disease.

In college I was healed of tonsillitis and of a broken ankle. (These healings were confirmed by a physician because a physical examination was required by the school.) This was the first time I had been "on my own" to practice Christian Science. The healing of the ankle was accomplished so quickly that I could go back to dance class within two weeks.
