I found Christian Science at a time of great need. I had been raised without any religion, and there was no direction or stability in my life. But I always felt there must be a God.
In my second year of high school, a friend told me she was a Christian Scientist and invited me to attend her Sunday School sometime. One Sunday morning, in a state of depression and unhappiness, I walked ten blocks before breakfast to the Christian Science church and enrolled myself in Sunday School. When I came out of that class, I was walking on air—thrilled with the knowledge that God was my Father, that He loved me and was taking care of me. After that, a wonderful new life opened up. I found home and stability, with the opportunity to grow and be useful to others.
I have had countless evidences of God's guidance for over seventy years. In any difficulty I could go forward with joy, because I was sure of God's goodness.
