Science and Health— transforming individual lives and church memberships

From the October 1996 issue of The Christian Science Journal

"The fact remains, that the textbook of Christian Science is transforming the universe," Mis., p. 372. Mary Baker Eddy states in her book Miscellaneous Writings.

The last chapter of Science and Health, "Fruitage," is full of examples of lives transformed, health recovered, and quality of life changed simply from reading this book. In the decades since it was written, people have continued to find in Science and Health the same transforming and healing power. Today individuals and branch Churches of Christ, Scientist, are dedicating their efforts to Science and Health's increased availability. A natural outcome of this effort is that we are now hearing almost daily from new readers of the book —about how their lives have been changed. What a proof of the utility of Church that Mrs. Eddy refers to in her metaphysical interpretation of Church on page 583 of the Glossary of Science and Health.
