I have seen many blessings from sharing Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy. Over the years I have given numerous copies of the textbook away. If there is a need, I do not hesitate to give "a cup of cold water in Christ's name, and never fear the consequences" (Science and Health, p. 570).
It doesn't matter if the recipient reads Science and Health now or later, or if someone else reads it—my part is to offer this wonderful book. I have given textbooks to bar owners, atheists, doctors, ministers, and others.
Recently I received a card from a young man, a former employee of mine with whom I had shared Science and Health. His parents and brother had rejected him, ... and he was very bitter and unforgiving. I just knew this book would help him, so before he moved to another state I had presented him with a gift copy. He wrote in the card: "There is not enough time on this earth to express my gratitude .... Science and Health has opened my mind and my heart, and I thank you for the guidance." As a result of his reading it, he said, he has found a sense of peace, and is free of ill feelings about his family. I truly am grateful to be able to share this gift to mankind.
