Radio broadcasts—heard around the world

From the September 1996 issue of The Christian Science Journal

A diverse audience in more than 190 countries receives weekend broadcasts of the Christian Science Sentinel—Radio Edition; the programs of The Herald of Christian Science in Czech, French, German, Portuguese, Russian, and Spanish; and the Sunday services of The Mother Church in Boston.

These shortwave broadcasts are also heard throughout the United States. Here's just one of the numerous letters received each month in which listeners share their thoughts on the transmissions they've heard. It comes from Stillwater, Oklahoma, in the heart of America:

Just want to tell you how much I get out of the radio programs you produce on Friday and Saturday evenings. This week's Sentinel program on more God-centered ways of living presented me with many helpful thoughts at a time when I could really use them.
