Dawning reflection

From the February 1997 issue of The Christian Science Journal

As the light of dawn dispels
Deepest darkness of the night,
So Truth's growing brightness annuls
Error's gloom and blight.

Love's illumination never leaves us
Burdened with earthly wear;
Spirit always lifts our view
Above all strife and care.

The risen Christ enlightening us
Stills invasive mortal fear,
Conquers sickness, sin, and death with
Thoughts always free and clear.

Man, joyous in God's presence,
Shows forth His true reflection,
And Soul spreads its boundless beauty,
Revealing man's perfection.
