Over the past year, meetings focusing on Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy have been held in the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, and the United States. They have explored ways in which people are reaching out for spiritual answers to the challenges of everyday life, and how students of Christian Science can respond by sha ring the healing message of the book.
Our Features Editor, Kim Shippey, offers his observations on the international telephone conference calls that have followed these meetings, during which local Science and Health coordinators have reported on the highlights of their gatherings.
It was at a Science and Health regional meeting in Lakewood, Tacoma, Washington, that a ten-year-old boy spontaneously captured the spirit of these occasions. He had gone along with his family, and in the van going home remarked: "I didn't know Science and Health was for people besides Christian Scientists. Everyone can read it. It's a big deal!"
