There have been so many blessings and healings that have taken place in my life through the study and understanding of Christian Science as a way of life. This religion has been of great help in my academics at high school, and now at college. I have been healed of fever, headache, stomachache, boils, and much else.
I would like to share a healing experience that took place in August of 1998. During this time, I was writing my semester examinations at school. I went home during the weekend, picked up the things I needed for the exams, and went back to school. On the day that I had the exams, I woke up and read the Lesson-Sermon (found in the Christian Science Quarterly) from the Bible and Science and Health. Then I started my daily chores. As I was dressing, my roommate told me that I had a rash all over my face and hands. I refused to accept this as any part of me, and went out to the exam hall. After writing the first paper, I returned to my room to pick up some materials I needed for the second paper. My roommate was again concerned, but I insisted that all was well.
As we walked, I remembered truths from Science and Health. One that was helpful was this: "The three great verities of Spirit, omnipotence, omnipresence, omniscience,—Spirit possessing all power, filling all space, constituting all Science,—contradict forever the belief that matter can be actual. These eternal verities reveal primeval existence as the radiant reality of God's creation, in which all that He has made is pronounced by His wisdom good" (pp. 109-110). Then I reasoned that if God has pronounced "all that He has made" good, I am also good and perfect. Another helpful passage was "The starting-point of divine Science is that God, Spirit, is All-in-all, and that there is no other might nor Mind,— that God is Love, and therefore He is divine Principle" (p. 275). Since God is All-in-all, there can be no room for error, which is unlike Him. With these truths, I was certain that I was all right.
