CONSTANT CARE

Love's sacred touch

Grief dissolves when we open up to the tangible power of God's love.

From the November 2000 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Even at the darkest of times, when we reach out with our whole heart to God for help, we can feel His tender love. This invariably brings peace and healing. When we experience this sacred touch of divine Love, we are actually glimpsing the kingdom of God within us, which Christ Jesus spoke of. See Luke 17:21.

This kingdom isn't within a material, human body or mind. It's within our individual consciousness as the image of God, who is also divine Mind. Thinking that's entrenched in material existence obscures our genuine, spiritual nature and the tangible presence of Love. But through humble receptivity to God, we can begin to forgo the material way of seeing ourselves, as mortals subject to all sorts of troubles, and come to see our pure, spiritual status. We can know ourselves as actually reflecting the radiant goodness of God, inseparable from His care.

"Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God." Matt. 5:8. The spiritual insight that clearly perceives God's presence, is inherent within all of us. It shows us God's limitless provisions. Our dear Father-Mother causes us to see and feel His tender care. And we can prove this even in the worst trouble.
