Testimonies of Healing

Fainting spells end

From the September 2001 issue of The Christian Science Journal

I would start to become faint whenever I had to stand for an extended period. The third time this occurred, I was home, waiting for company to arrive, when the dizziness overcame me. Stretched out on my bed, I began to think about that week's Bible Lesson (found in the Christian Science Quarterly). It had talked about dwelling "in the house of the Lord" (Ps. 23:6). I decided that since I was dwelling in the Lord's house, I could only be just fine. I fell asleep, and when I woke up, there was no dizziness, nor have I felt faint since then when standing for long periods, or at any other time.

I decided that since I was dwelling in the Lord's house, I could only be just fine.

Another problem I had was more persistent, but when approached correctly, it also was healed immediately. Science and Health says, "If the Scientist reaches his patient through divine Love, the healing work will beaccomplished at one visit, and the disease will vanish into its native nothingness like dew before the morning sunshine" (p. 365). My menstrual periods had increased in discomfort over the years. I had prayed some about the fact that since God is in control, I could not be out of control. But primarily I had simply endured these times.
