I have seen many healings through applying God's laws as they are explained by Christian Science. In my family, there have been quick healings of flu symptoms, strep throat, chickenpox, a sprained wrist, a dislocated finger, and back pain, just to name a few.
I'd like to tell about two healings of ear infections. My fourth-grade son had contracted measles at school. We kept him in quarantine, as requested, and complied with the laws of our county in allowing a school nurse to check on him. We also prayed and asked a Christian Science practitioner to pray with us. Over the course of a week, our son felt better, but then one night he woke up crying with extreme pain in one of his ears. There seemed to be no comforting him. I prayed that this child could surely be comforted, because the truth I had learned in Christian Science is the Comforter that Christ Jesus promised!
I confided to the practitioner that I was worried that my son didn't know God. She simply assured me that he did know God. And I thought, "Of course, he has to know God. He is God's very image and likeness!" With that, our dog crawled into the boy's bed to comfort him, even though she knows she's normally not allowed there. My son then got into bed, as well, and went to sleep. You see, the Comforter did speak the little boy's language!
